The bookshop is a cover for the infiltration work he does for Jim Moriarty: he’s got to look somewhat respectable, after all.
Will RP with anyone, though my Jim is sunshineandsemtex. AUs get a bit messy, but for all intents and purposes ‘Bastian belongs to sunshineandsemtex, wholly and completely. [Whether he’ll admit it is another matter.]
My ‘Bas is NOT your general interpretation of Moran. Many portray him as a rugged, coarse sniper who works for Moriarty. As I said to a friend once:
“For some reason, I always picture Sebastian as this decadent, brilliant young man who some days just stays at home in his dressing gown (silk, wine coloured) with his feet up on like a desk or something playing with his fingers and drawling at Jim without looking at him. And he’s just as manipulative.”
